Our canisters are built of rugged plastic, which won't
corrode, and are available in opaque white and clear. The
clear makes it easy to check on your cartridge, but if left
outside in the light, algae will grow. So, if you're
going to set up your canisters where light is plentiful, use
the white.
Our canisters and systems are plumbed with 3/4-inch brass
fittings to fit standard hoses, and are ready to install. Since these units are
fairly large, they cannot be hung from the RVs water inlet
port. Some RVers like to mount the canisters inside a
storage bay, where they are out of the way, and permanent. The canisters
can be
placed on their side, upside
down, or any other configuration. These filters are also
easily used outside the RV on the ground, in a container, or
hanging under a slide. Our recommendation: no matter how
you hook these up externally, keep them out of the sun.
This will prevent deterioration of the canisters and
discourage organism growth from excessive heat.
