Sediment cartridges are used to catch dirt, sand, mineral or metal particles.  They are available in 20, 10, 5 or 1 micron sizes.  Lower micron ratings mean smaller particle removal.  We suggest 5 or less.  Replace when the filter plugs up or reaches the suggested lifespan or purchase a  reusable cartridge. These are all 10" tall cartridges for standard canisters.
